Glass Bottles: The Boob by Joovy vs. Lifefactory

Although all plastic baby bottles in the USA are now BPA free, I still love using glass bottles most of the time because they are safer. Glass bottles don't absorb color, odor or taste. I love how easy it is to clean glass bottles and that they last so long. I will use a plastic bottle occasionally if I am traveling since they don't break. There are so many glass baby bottles out there, here are two that we love to use.

The Boob Baby Bottle by Joovy

About: Glass bottle with silicone sleeve to help protect from breaking when dropped occasionally. The nipple has a CleanFlow Vent system that provides consistent venting. The glass can handle sudden dramatic changes in temperature. The nipple is designed to transition baby breastfeeding to bottle feeding easy.
Price: $21.99 for 5 oz or 8 oz glass bottle
Ease of Use: Easy to use and clean. I love that the CleanFlow Vent system provides venting but it is a separate piece that fits right on top of the glass.  The bottle will leak a lot if you forget this piece. I would love everything about this bottle if it didn't have an extra piece to keep track of.
Looks: I love the shape of the bottle and the colors of the sleeves are bright and fun.
Found At: Online and many major baby stores
Quality: Great quality the bottle will last through multiple children. It is recommended to replace the nipples and CleanFlow Vent system piece about every 3 months. Dishwasher safe.
Best Use: Bottle feeding your baby. These are class bottles and can break so I don't like to use them when I am traveling for an extended trip.
Our Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Why we like it:

1. The nipple is great! It was easy for my baby to use while breastfeeding as it is more like a breast than most glass bottle nipples.

2. The silicone sleeve is easy to get off when cleaning.

3. These are a little more expensive than other glass bottles but if you are breastfeeding they are worth the extra money.

Lifefactory Glass Baby Bottle

About: Glass baby bottle with a vented nipple and a medical grade silicone sleeve to protect the glass from breaking when occasionally dropped. The glass is made with the highest quality, thermal shock resistant glass that can transition from the freezer to boiling water. The silicone sleeve also provides a great gripping service for your baby. Compatible with most breast pumps.
Price: $14.99 for 4 oz bottle and $16.99 for 9 oz bottle
Ease of Use: Easy to use and wash. You can remove the nipple from the plastic cap for washing. I love that when the nipple is in the plastic cap, there are only two pieces that you have to worry about. The silicone sleeve is difficult to remove unless the lubricated. This isn't the best bottle if you are breastfeeding as the nipple are very small and don't help train your baby for latching.
Looks: The silicone sleeve comes in cute colors.
Found At: Online and at most baby stores
Quality: Great quality the bottle will last through multiple children. It is recommended to replace the nipples every 3 months. Dishwasher safe.

Rating:
3 out of 5 stars if you are breastfeeding;

4 out of 5 stars if your baby is only bottle fed

Why we like it:

1. They made this bottle to grow with your baby. You can add the sippy cap to transition to a sippy cut or add a flat caps for storage.

2, I liked using this bottle when my baby was older. The nipple is small and it was hard for my baby to use while I was breastfeeding.
